July 22, 2010 – Coming into force of the Private Security Act
The Private Security Act will come into force on July 22, 2010. Incidentally, the Bureau de la sécurité privée will become fully independent. It will be the only entity with authority to issue licences to agencies and agents with regard to the six activities governed by the Act:
- Security guarding
- Investigation
- Locksmith work
- Electronic security systems
- Transport of valuables
- Security consulting
