Recognition Awards

Since 2013, the Conseil québécois du commerce de détail (CQCD) has presented a recognition award (Prix Reconnaissance) to three companies in the sector, at the Retailers Evening during its annual Convention.

In March 2014, the following companies were officially recognized by the CQCD: SAIL Plein Air, Boutique la Vie en Rose and Sobeys.

The CQCD celebrates the success of these retailers who have distinguished themselves within the sector over the years. “We are proud to recognize three Quebec companies that have contributed to the advancement retail,” said Léopold Turgeon, the President and CEO of the CQCD.

The “Prix Reconnaissance” was created by the CQCD to underline the excellence of its retailers. According to Mr. Turgeon, “the award allows us not only to promote high-performance retailers, but also to make the entire sector more aware of the most interesting retail opportunities.”

A selection committee, composed of retailers and members of the industry, was created to select the three recipients. The selection criteria are based on three elements: innovation, visibility and human resources.
