ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Associate members are companies in businesses allied with retailing or with a particular interest in maintaining a close relationship with the retail community. This member can be a consultant, advertising agency, an equipment supplier, a service supplier, a training supplier or other.

Associate Members are considered regular members. They enjoy the same privileges as Direct Members except for the right to vote at Annual or special General Meetings.

Associate Members can also be invited to participate in Council's activities, including participation in certain specialized committees where they have a particular expertise to contribute which can further the committee's work.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER - Real estate promoters

Special rate for developers : $0.75 per 1 000 square feet of leasable shopping center area, less the area occupied by departement stores.

Membership fee : minimum $300 and maximum $3 500

ASSOCIATE MEMBER - Financial institution
Without any consideration of the annual sales volume of the company.

Membership fee : $5,000
Please add 5% GST and 7.5% PST




AFFILIATE AND EDUCATIONAL MEMBER

This category of member represents a specialised association which is usually sectored to the retail industry. The affiliate membership gives to one designated member one subscription to the Canadian Retailer and the right to attend Council seminars and workshops at the same level as a retail member. Close liaison with affiliate members is desired and maintained whenever possible; they are encouraged to publicise Council services among their own members where they feel they would be useful to their members.
