Hélène Gervais

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in communications – human relations, international profile from UQAM as well as a master’s degree in environment from the University of Sherbrooke, Hélène Gervais has worked for RECYC-QUÉBEC since 2006, as an industrial development agent. Her expertise in residual materials management, combined with her knowledge of the circular economy, has been used in various reports and matters including by the organization of the Quebec Circular Economy Conference, reduction at source, plastic recycling as well as the selective collection of recyclable materials.

Hélène has also been a lecturer in circular economy at the University of Sherbrooke since 2018 and a member of the board of directors of Lab 22 – Laboratory of social and environmental innovations. In 2016, she worked as a project manager at the Institute for the Environment, Sustainable Development and the Circular Economy where she coordinated a major research project on the circular economy and metals, for the account of the Quebec Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
