Marc-André Lebeau

Former junior cycling champion, Marc-André Lebeau acquired the Bicycles Quilicot banner in 2005, at the age of 27. Under his leadership, this century-old shop has experienced exceptional growth. In the fall of 2006, he opened a second shop in Sainte-Thérèse, and then a third one in Laval in spring 2012. In 2016, Bicycles Quilicot acquired Vélo Branché – the only shop specialized in the sale of electric bicycles in Montréal – and changed the shop’s name to Vélo Branché par Quilicot. Finally, in 2017, the company acquired the Jo-Vélo shop in Mont-Tremblant. These two acquisitions illustrate how serious this company is. They are a statement to the central place that Bicycles Quilicot intends on occupying in Québec’s bicycle market.

Let it be known that Marc-André Lebeau has great ambitions: he wants to make Bicycles Quilicot the only retail chain specialized in the sale and repair of bicycles in Québec.

To do so, the entrepreneur from Saint-Jérôme surrounded himself with a skilled management team. Today, Bicycles Quilicot follows a precise strategic plan to develop a multi-channel ecosystem in which a transactional website and a mobile service workshop ensure the brand is there where it counts: in store, online… and on the road!

The company holds respect as a core value for everyone: customers, suppliers and employees. In fact, Bicycles Quilicot is proud to count on close to 100 employees, and to provide year-round employment to more than 60% of them (a rarity in a somewhat seasonal industry).

Although he has his hands full with his company (and four kids, including three toddlers), Marc-André Lebeau still finds time to get involved in the community; he is always “in” for a bike ride to raise funds for a charity! He also sat on the board of directors of Resto Pop Thérèse-de-Blainville, which offers full meals to those in need in Sainte-Thérèse.
