\n A new director general for the Retail Council of Quebec!\n <\/h2>\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

C\u00e9line Blanchet, President of the Board of Directors of the Retail Council of Quebec, and its members are pleased to announce te appointment of Mr. Damien Sil\u00e8s as the new CEO of the RCQ, effective January 9, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

With a strong background in international trade, Damien Sil\u00e8s has served as the General Manager of the Quartier de l\u2019innovation de Montr\u00e9al since 2014. Previously, he spent six years as the General Manager of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de d\u00e9veloppement social de Ville-Marie, North America’s first social brokerage, which he founded in 2008. His leadership at this organization was recognized by the media, earning him the distinction of being named Person of the Week by La Presse-Radio-Canada twice (February 2011 and June 2013). From 2002 to 2008, he also held the position of Director of Membership and Sales at the Chambre de commerce du Montr\u00e9al m\u00e9tropolitain, where he established strong relationships within the Quebec business community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Retail Council of Quebec<\/span> is an association representing the vast majority of retail and distribution businesses in Quebec, making it a key interlocutor. Whether in the realm of cross-border online commerce or any other area, the RCQ adopts a “solution-oriented” approach to contribute to governmental discussions, strategies, and decisions pertaining to the retail industry in Quebec.<\/p>\n
