Ce \u00e0 quoi il a r\u00e9pondu tout simplement, \u00ab l\u2019achat local r\u00e9duit la longueur de la cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement. \u00bb Un produit peut venir de tr\u00e8s loin et avoir un circuit de distribution court ou \u00eatre fabriqu\u00e9 au Qu\u00e9bec et \u00eatre vendu dans un magasin \u00e0 grande surface appartenant \u00e0 un g\u00e9ant am\u00e9ricain. Concr\u00e8tement, lorsqu\u2019on ach\u00e8te des pommes du Qu\u00e9bec dans un magasin \u00e0 grande surface, on fait un achat local. Si on les ach\u00e8te \u00e0 notre \u00e9picerie du coin, c\u2019est encore mieux. Par contre, si on se procure des p\u00eaches de la Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande dans un magasin \u00e0 grande surface, on est tr\u00e8s loin du concept de l\u2019achat local.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Convaincre les gens d\u2019acheter local<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Jacques Nantel souligne que les appellations comme Aliments du Qu\u00e9bec ne poussent pas vraiment les gens \u00e0 acheter local. \u00ab Il faut aller plus loin et consid\u00e9rer les motivations selon le groupe d\u2019\u00e2ge. Pour les personnes plus \u00e2g\u00e9es, on parle d\u2019une notion de nationalisme. C\u2019est la motivation la plus faible, car bien souvent, les gens ont le c\u0153ur \u00e0 gauche et le portefeuille \u00e0 droite. Pour les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es de 40 \u00e0 65 ans, la notion de qualit\u00e9 est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement au centre du processus d\u00e9cisionnel. C\u2019est un bon incitatif, certes. Finalement, les jeunes vont la plupart du temps choisir un produit qui a une moins grande empreinte carbone, un produit plus \u00e9cologique. Et cette motivation est viable \u00e0 long terme. \u00bb Les entreprises de commerce de d\u00e9tail doivent se baser sur ces constats pour positionner leur offre et la communiquer efficacement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Faire concurrence aux g\u00e9ants du commerce en ligne<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Sur le Web, les gens peuvent acheter une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de produits \u00e0 tr\u00e8s bas prix sans m\u00eame avoir \u00e0 se d\u00e9placer. \u00ab \u00c7a peut sembler difficile \u00e0 battre. Cependant, une personne pourrait aller en boutique si on lui promet une exp\u00e9rience unique. Un endroit o\u00f9 elle peut toucher, sentir ou go\u00fbter aux produits. Un espace o\u00f9 une \u00e9quipe de sp\u00e9cialistes peuvent la conseiller. \u00bb Les d\u00e9taillants et d\u00e9taillantes d\u2019ici doivent aussi miser sur la proximit\u00e9. \u00ab Si je veux me procurer des verres pour une r\u00e9ception que j\u2019organise le soir m\u00eame, ma seule option est d\u2019aller dans un commerce qui se trouve pr\u00e8s de chez moi \u00bb, souligne monsieur Nantel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Les deux phases d\u2019adaptation des consommateurs et consommatrices<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Monsieur Nantel d\u00e9note la phase individuelle, soit celle o\u00f9 l\u2019on ach\u00e8te ce que l\u2019on veut sans consid\u00e9ration pour autrui, puis une seconde phase, celle de la consommation collective. C\u2019est cette derni\u00e8re que nous allons devoir d\u00e9velopper rapidement pour lutter contre la crise climatique. \u00ab Nous avons remarqu\u00e9 ce changement pendant la pand\u00e9mie notamment avec le vaccin. \u00bb Nous devions collectivement poser un geste pour am\u00e9liorer notre posture face \u00e0 une crise sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent.
