Damien Silès has served as President and CEO of the Conseil québécois du commerce de détail (CQCD) since January 9, 2023.

With a strong background in international business, he previously held the position of Executive Director of Montreal’s Quartier de l’innovation starting in 2014. Prior to that, for six years, he was the Executive Director of the Société de développement social de Ville-Marie, North America’s first social broker, which he founded in 2008. His leadership of this organization earned widespread media acclaim and led to him being twice named La Presse-Radio-Canada Person of the Week (February 2011 and June 2013).

From 2002 to 2008, he served as Director of Membership and Sales at the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, a role through which he built deep and lasting connections within the Quebec business community.
