The state of the economy is on everyone’s lips in Quebec. The expected post-COVID economic recovery is being disrupted by the labour and inflation issues that retail is experiencing on a daily basis.

The impacts of all these economic upheavals are being felt on the ground, in the stores and operations of retailers and in many other sectors of the Quebec economy. This year, the CQCD’s traditional economic panel brings together a number of experts who will analyze, from both a macro and a micro perspective, the evolution of the economy and its impact on the retail sector. These experts come from a variety of backgrounds and will provide an effective and expert portrayal of the subject of the day: a senior economist, the executive director of a research institute and the president of a retail business that has experienced the comings and goings of the pandemic.
