Catherine obtained her CPA, CA title in 2009 and she worked at EY for two years in Quebec and Toronto offices managing a wide range of clients of all sizes and industries, and then worked 2 years for pharmaceutical company renown in Quebec city, Endoceutics.

Catherine took part in Surmesur’s first moments back in 2010 and brainstorm the concept with the co-founders! She is the accountant of Surmesur since day one but officially joined forces in a full-time position in 2012, taking in charge of the overall Administration, Finance and HR. Surmesur originally had one location in Quebec City but under her management, it has now expanded to a custom retail chain of 20+ destinations across North America. Catherine is fearless of change and always wants to innovate. Her greatest accomplishments at Surmesur are how she took advantage of all the technologies to drive her accounting & HR department and our employee satisfaction NPS of 69, leading one of the greatest company cultures in the retail industry. The next challenge she gave herself is for Surmesur to obtain the B Corp certification.

Outside of Surmesur, Catherine is a mother of 3 and is actively involved in the community with diverse organizations such as 2Degres, a cleantech incubator. In April 2019, with the help of the co-founders, she launched and is the President of the Surmesur Foundation which supports causes related to promote access to education. Catherine’s favorite motto: Work Hard, Play Hard !
