Ponora Ang is an experienced civil and commercial litigator who intervenes in various complex cases. When a case cannot be settled, Ponora appears before the different judicial bodies to assert the rights of clients. In addition to his practice in litigation, many investors from China and South-East Asia are seeking Ponora’s advice for their projects in Canada.
Ponora counsels and represents clients in product liability, sale, leasing, real estate, insurance and franchise law. Ponora regularly asked to defend the interests of manufacturers, distributors and sellers in the automobile, medical, security and aviation industries. He also advises frequently state-owned enterprises, private companies and individuals from Asia for their implantation and operations in Canada.
Ponora teaches business law in a global context as part of the master of laws program of Université de Montréal’s law faculty (LL.M.) in product liability as well as civil and commercial litigation. He was also the recipient of the YBAM’s “Lawyer of the Year 2010” award in civil and commercial litigation.
