Generative AI: Redefining the Customer Experience and Retail Performance

Please note: This event will be held in French.

On October 13, the CQCD, in collaboration with Google Montréal and its partners, invites you to explore how artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming retail, from understanding consumers to the point of purchase.

In 2026, AI is no longer limited to personalizing communications or automating certain tasks. AI agents are becoming new intermediaries between consumers and retailers, capable of searching, comparing and potentially purchasing on behalf of consumers. At the same time, synthetic data and AI are making it possible to better understand behaviours, test concepts and accelerate decision-making.

During this conference, experts from Google Montréal and Plus Company will present three complementary perspectives on this transformation.

  • Jean-Philippe Gauthier, Head of Agencies & Partners, Google Canada, will open the conference with “The Store Has a New Customer: The Agent.” He will explain how generative AI and AI agents are transforming search, purchasing and customer service. Through concrete demonstrations, he will explore the shift toward agentic commerce, the growing importance of product data quality, and the actions retailers can take now based on their level of maturity.
  • Paul Guité, Vice President, Analytics & Insights, Montréal, Plus Company, will then present Smart Persona, an AI-powered solution developed by Plus Company that enables the creation of synthetic personas and real-time simulation of the reactions and behaviours of different audiences. This approach opens up new possibilities for retailers: gaining a deeper understanding of their customers, testing concepts and messaging, validating hypotheses, and accelerating decision-making through data and artificial intelligence.
  • Finally, Louis-Philippe Mathieu, Vice President, Digital Strategy & Technology, Plus Company, will explore the concrete impact of AI agents on retail through examples drawn from client projects.

A conference designed to help you understand what is changing, see what is already possible, and identify the next steps for integrating AI into your business in a practical and strategic way.

The conference will be followed by a networking cocktail, providing an opportunity to continue the conversation with fellow participants and industry experts.
